I've decided to adopt a, "Did You Know?" format for the time being. I'd like any readers of this blog (all 1 of you) to join in please. The rule is you have to list the "Did you know"s in threes. They can involve past and present items of trivia about yourself, your family, your life, blah blah blah. At least ONE of the items must involve a personal idiosyncrasy or neurosis. Why? I don't know. Why not? I'll start.
Did you know...I had to reprimand my son twice yesterday for licking the bottom of his shoe?
Did you know... I am really germophobic, which, ironically, causes me to struggle to clean toilets, do laundry, etc.? Sad but true.
Did you know...I had a ladies' style mullet in 6th grade?
Your turn...

1. Did you know as a very, very small child, my mother dressed me as a "flower girl" for a Pastor's Appreciation skit for Reverend John Greene?

2. Did you know that when I was 14, I killed an eighteen-point buck?

3. Did you know that as a kid, I dreamed of being a professional hockey player?

You know I suspect the mullet may be making a come back pretty soon Kristen... you might want to keep that in mind.

I will. Thank you Susie. P.S. You didn't follow the rules.

Did you know that I just called CPS on Shelly?

Ok I wanna play. I do love lists.

1. Did you know that since I was a child I have disliked Christmas trees and I do not intend to ever have one when I have a home of my own.

2. Did you know that I can play four instruments. The guitar, bass, mandolin, and the barritone. The barritone ofcourse being the coolest since it is essentially a small tuba.

3. Did you know that I got kicked out of school when I was a freshman for writing the F word in huge letters on the front of the school.

1. Did you know i had a mullet all throughout highschool? Not only that...but i permed the back of it? I'm ashamed.

2. Did you know I ran away in the 5th grade?

3. Did you know that as a kid, I dreamed of being a truck driver?

Clay, I also dreamed of being a truck driver. Know why? Because I had a secret dream that I could go to the McDonald's drive-thru and say, "Fill 'er up!" and they'd do it. I actually estimated how many cheeseburgers and Cokes could fit into my big rig. And believe you me, it was a lot.

1. Did you know...that when I was younger (talking like maybe 6ish...) I actually plotted to kill my brother! Not like built weapons to kill him, but I thought about it.

2. Did you know, I too am a germaphobe. I will actually put thuroughly bleach the sink after dishes have been sitting there for longer than an afternoon/evening and if I use a sponge, it must go through the dishwasher before being used again. Strangely enough, the toilet doesn't bother me.

3. Did you know, I was the biggest "Barney and Friends" fan until like the 6th grade. I actually had videos, books, and all sorts of crazy Barney things. Man oh man, if I wasn't blind - I probably would've been beaten up.

1. It has been a long-time dream of mine to play drums in a really rockin' band.

2. At about the age of 10 or 11, I owned 3 pair of parachute pants and spent time practicing break dancing in my garage. Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo was my favorite movie.

3. There are certain words I just can't bring myself to say. The one at the top of the list is Heeby Jeebies (sp?) It was really hard for me to even type that one.

1. Did you know that when I was young I didn't have much of an imagination, and because of that I pretended to have an imaginary friend so that I could be like my best friend?

2. Did you know that I loved animals so much when I was little that I stayed outside all day advertising on my echo-microphone that I had free food and love to all of the lost pets?

3. Did you know that touching the remainder of people's foods (with utensil or hand) on their plates grosses me out, which makes it really hard for me to even use a garbage disposal?

Oops . . . did you know?, did you know?, did you know?

Thanks, everyone, for all your comments (thank you especially Justin for all 9 posts. I got really excited just to see "21 comments" on my blog, even if many of them were duplicates). You've all made me feel a lot less crazy, though no less ashamed of my mullet. You've all suprised and entertained me. Keep 'em coming!
